Here she is - the
Akita that started it all for us! Tasha is such a sweet,
affectionate, goofy girl! If only we knew then what we know now,
Tasha would have been our first show dog! She could have been a
contender!
But we weren't
ready to jump with both feet firmly planted in mid-air, and we
knew it. We agonized over the decision to spay Tasha, but it was
the right thing to do at the time.
Our first year
with Tasha sounded like a broken record. Barely a day went by
without comment of our wonder and awe of her. She loves her
"Kita", our elderly Siberian Husky, but she absolutely
adores having a "big dog" to play with -
"Mason".
Tasha is her
mother all over again; she has "Annie"'s sweet disposition and
goofy sense of humor, with a good helping of her Daddy's
coloring, tail and head. The breeders tell us that they might have
overdone the "sweet" thing on this breeding. Tasha and
all her littermates have wonderful temperaments, if a bit over the
top on the sweetness!!!
Brad and Tasha
scored 96 out of 100 in their first Novice A Rally event at the
Akita Nationals in November! Tasha took first place, receiving a
rosette, pendant, metal wall art plaque and toy! About an hour
later, she passed her CGC test! What an exciting day that was!
Tasha received
her Rally Novice A Title in Scottsdale, AZ March 5, 2006 -
finishing in
fourth place with a score of 98!
